MONTECITO, CA – The Montecito Fire Department, in partnership with the Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and the Carpinteria Summerland Fire Protection District, have engaged Atkin’s Engineering to update the Debris Flow Risk Map.

MONTECITO, CA – On July 4, 2019 a 6.4 foreshock struck Ridgecrest, California. It was followed by the mainshock, a magnitude 7.1 earthquake in the same region on July 5, 2019. Here in Montecito, several members of our community felt both earthquakes; fortunately, we received no reports of injuries or damage.
