9/11 Remembrance Ceremonies to be held at Montecito Fire Stations

On September 11, 2023 the Montecito Fire Department will hold a brief remembrance ceremony at both Fire Station 91 and Fire Station 92. Community members are welcome to gather with our firefighters at either fire station for a bell ringing, moment of silence, and lowering of the flag to honor the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Santa Barbara Front Country fire ban in effect as San Ysidro and Romero Trail closures continue

Los Padres National Forest officials today reminded visitors that an open fire ban remains in effect for the Santa Barbara front country while trail closures have been extended for the Old Romero Road (26W25), Romero Canyon Trail (26W14), and San Ysidro Trail (26W15 Singletrack) through August 31, 2023, as storm damage repairs continue.
