Communicating effectively to the community, elected officials and the media is one of our most valued priorities for protecting lives and property. The Public Information Officer provides timely and accurate information to the community and local, national, and international media.
We also assist our government partners, community, businesses, and non-profits with special requests and other interagency coordination throughout the Santa Barbara County Operational Area.
Meet our Public Information Officer
Christina Atchison is the Public Information Officer for Montecito Fire Department. She joined the organization in April 2021. Prior to joining Montecito Fire, Christina spent nearly a decade working in local journalism. Christina is responsible for all external communication, community outreach and education opportunities.
