Knox Box Access

The Montecito Fire Department utilizes several Knox products to ensure secure access to your property. Only the Fire Department has the key.

How to Order Knox Products

1. Visit the Knox website

2. At the top of the page, click “Start Here”

3. When prompted, enter:

  • Your Installation Address
  • Confirm Local Fire Department/Agency: Montecito FPD

4. Click Submit and select Montecito FPD.

5. See below for Montecito FPD-approved Knox products.

Important: Before ordering, contact Montecito Fire or your gate installer to ensure you select the correct product.

Gate Key Switch

1. Gate Key Switch - All Electronic Access Points

Use: Electronic gates that require Fire Department access. Local gate installers can order and install these.

Models:

  • 3501
  • 3502

Alternative products must have Fire Department approval. Review options 2 and 3.

Knox Vault

2. Knox Vault - Only with Fire Department Approval

Use: A secure, locked vault mounted on the exterior of a building. Holds keys or key cards. Not used for gates.

  • Contact Montecito Fire for the correct model and application.

3. Knox Padlock - Construction Site Access

Use: Construction entrances or gates that do not require an electronic gate switch.
