Fire Prevention Story Map
The Montecito Fire Department is excited to launch an interactive Story Map to highlight the Department’s Wildland Fire Prevention Program. Story Maps combine text, images, multimedia, and interactive maps to create an engaging online experience.
Neighborhood Fire Prevention Project
The Montecito Fire Department will begin its annual Neighborhood Fire Prevention Project on Monday, March 2, 2020. Each spring, the Montecito Fire Department partners with our district residents to prepare for the approaching High Fire Season and reduce the density of vegetation along strategic portions of roadways and private properties.
Montecito Fire Department Receives Wildfire Mitigation Award
The Wildfire Mitigation Awards committee has named the three recipients of this year’s Wildfire Mitigation Awards. These individuals and organizations have earned the highest commendation for innovation and leadership in wildfire mitigation for their outstanding dedication to solving many of the most complex challenges posed by wildfire.
