Firefighters contain shed fire, vegetation fire on 800 block of Romero Canyon Rd

Montecito firefighters received a call for a structure fire on Friday, November 25, just after 6 p.m. on the 800 block of Romero Canyon Road. Firefighters first on scene found a fully involved shed. Flames spread to nearby vegetation, burning approximately 1/8 of an acre.
A total of five engines responded to the incident, from Montecito Fire, Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District, Santa Barbara City Fire Department, and Santa Barbara County Fire Department. Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office deputies also responded.
No evacuations were necessary. The fire is contained and firefighters will remain on scene for several hours mopping up and monitoring the area. Fire investigators are currently looking into the cause of the fire.
