Pre-Evacuation Advisory for Santa Barbara South Coast

By Aaron Briner
Feb 26, 2018 at 04:54 AM

The National Weather Service forecast indicates that a storm will be arriving Monday February 26th late in the afternoon and continue into Tuesday. There is a slight chance of heavier showers and thunderstorms late Monday night into Tuesday with rainfall amounts generally less than 0.33 inches, except isolated totals between 0.50-1.00 inches are possible if heavier showers or thunderstorms develop. This might then be capable of producing minor debris flows and flooding below the burn areas. Because of the configuration of this storm, there is some uncertainty as its track and therefore the forecast. Closely monitor the situation and prepare for the possibility of evacuation. If at any time during this storm you feel threatened you should take action. If you have access or functional needs, or have large animals to move, consider preparing to leave earlier. For more information on the risk to you or your property please go to http://countyofsb.org/rainready.sbc . Standby for future updates.
