EVACUATION ORDER LIFTED FOR ADDITIONAL AREAS OF MONTECITO AT NOON TODAY, JANUARY 27, 2018

Mandatory Evacuation Orders for parts of Montecito will be lifted at noon today by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office. The public should consult the County’s interactive evacuation map at www.CountyofSB.org for detailed information of the areas described below.

The Mandatory Evacuation Order is lifted for the following area in Montecito:

  • North of East Valley Road/Hwy 192
  • East of San Ysidro Road/East Mountain Drive/West Park Lane
  • West of Romero Canyon Road
  • South of the Forest Boundary

The evacuation order is also lifted for the following area of Bonnymede Drive in Montecito:

  •  South of US 101
  •  East of Olive Mill Road/Channel Drive
  •  West of Ocean Meadow Place
  •  North of the ocean 

Long-term Exclusion Zones for Cold Springs/Montecito and San Ysidro remain in effect and are openonly to residents, business owners and those conducting official business in the area.  Residents with property in long-term Exclusion Zone areas are allowed to enter those areas, after showing proof of residence at law enforcement checkpoints. Residents may escort contractors and insurance adjusters into the area.

Due to the closure of several bridges, normal routes of travel into and out of these areas may be blocked.
