Evacuation Order and Warnings lifted for parts of Montecito 01/23/2018 at 12:00

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office has announced that effective at 12 P.M. today (Tuesday, January 23, 2018), evacuation orders and warnings will be lifted for parts of Montecito.

The Voluntary Evacuation Warning will be lifted for the following area of Montecito:

  • North of U.S. 101
  • West of Olive Mill Road/Mesa Road/Oak Road
  • South of Hot Springs Road/Sycamore Canyon Road
  • East of Eucalyptus Hill Road/El Rancho Road/Camino Viejo Road/Summit Road/Hot Springs Road

 The Mandatory Evacuation Order will be lifted for the following area of Montecito:

  • Ayala Lane
  • Ashley Road north of Sycamore Canyon Road to the 700 block of Ashley Road
  • East of Cold Spring Road
  • South of E. Mountain Drive to the 800 block of E. Mountain Drive

The area east of the area described above remains under a Mandatory Evacuation Order.

The County’s interactive evacuation map will be updated at 12 P.M. on Tuesday, January 23 to reflect changes made to evacuation orders and warnings. Please visit CountyofSB.org to access the interactive evacuation map or call the Public Information Call Center at 833-688-5551 for assistance.

The boil water notice for the area is still in effect. Residents returning to the area are asked to drive cautiously due to the ongoing presence of heavy truck traffic. Restoration of certain utilities continues. Residents are to contact utilities companies directly for restoration assistance and questions.
