The Montecito Fire Department will be assisting in landowner pile burning on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, in the 1000 block of East Mountain Drive.  This property is in the Montecito Fire Department’s Community Wildfire Protection Plan as part of the community’s Fuel Treatment Network.

The Fire Department coordinates with the County Air Pollution Control District and monitors weather conditions closely prior to igniting piles. The Montecito Fire Department places strict periods on the windows of opportunity for burning so that the smoke will not affect the community.

For more information regarding Burn Permits or for a complimentary defensible space survey of your property, hazard reduction or vegetation management please contact Wildland Fire Specialist Kerry Kellogg at (805) 565-8018 or Maeve Juarez at (805) 969-2983. You can also visit our website:
