9/11 REMEMBRANCE CEREMONY - WE WILL NEVER FORGET
MONTECITO, CA � Montecito Fire Protection District will hold a 9/11 remembrance ceremony to honor those who lost their lives on that fateful day in September 2001. The presentation will begin at 6:45 a.m. at Montecito Fire Station #1, 595 San Ysidro Road, Santa Barbara, CA. The tolling of the bell, a tradition for honoring fallen firefighters, will occur at 6:59 a.m, the time that the first World Trade Center tower collapsed.
Retired Montecito Fire District Director Passes
Montecito Fire Protection District to Increase Staffing for High Heat and Low Humidity Weather
In anticipation of the predicted weather event, Montecito Fire has increased staffing levels in the District with one (1) Type 6 Brush engine, one (1) Patrol, and is utilizing the local Citizens Emergency Response Team (MERRAG) to provide staffing at critical sites, and fill support roles.
