Geri Ventura has been with the Montecito Fire Protection District since 1993.

As Administrative Secretary for the Fire District, Geri is responsible for records management, preparing and maintaining Board agendas, minutes, resolutions, ordinances and other public documents. She is also responsible for overseeing the District's computer network, and fills in as District Dispatcher when necessary.

Geri also acts as MERRAG coordinator, overseeing all details of membership, financial accounting and reporting, training and activation procedures.  She has completed the Professional Development Series with the Emergency Management Institute (EMI), which provides a well-rounded set of fundamentals for those in the emergency management profession, as well as FEMA/EMI's CERT Train the Trainer Course.

Within the Incident Command System at fire emergencies, Geri is qualified to work as an Expanded Dispatch Recorder and Expanded Dispatch Support Dispatcher, and is Public Information Officer Trainee.
